Teaching Personnel are the nations largest and leading education recruitment agency and we are working on being as prepared as possible for September 2020.

 We are currently working with schools across West Cornwall – including areas such as Penzance, Camborne and Falmouth and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to work on both day to day supply and long term cover roles.

We are ideally seeking professionals who have a level 2 minimum TA qualification and relevant school-based practise, however other experience will be considered.

Other experience considered is:

-Sports Coach

-Counsellor

-Play Group Assistant

-Healthcare Assistant

-Instructor

If you have any other experience that could be transferable to working with children or young people, please also apply (voluntary experience is also valued).

Within the role as a TA, you will be expected to offer support to both students and staff. By working under the direction of the Teacher, you may work with small groups of students, on a 1:1 basis and support the class a whole. When working in small groups you may have to adapt lessons to support all needs. Offering both educational and social support will be important within your role and you will need to provide an enthusiastic attitude to learning at all times.

When registering, we will need 2 references from your most recent and relevant roles and a child only DBS on the Update Service. If you don’t already have this, you will be expected to apply for one through our company. All references must be sent to Head Teachers, Managers and Line Managers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
