Secondary School Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

A large inner city Secondary School in Bristol is currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from next term. This is a full time position and will begin after Easter.

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant to offer 1:1 support with a Year 8 pupil. The pupil is dis-engaged with their studies and has behavioural needs. You will be acting as a 'Behaviour Buddy', encouraging the pupil to work well within the classroom setting and in line with the school behaviour policy. Your day will consist of 1:1 support outside of lessons, but also some classroom support.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting students 1:1, with some prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant desirable. Although prior experience is desirable, it is not a requirement. As long as you are motivated, confident and able to use your initiative, we want to hear from you. If you have any other experience working/volunteering with children outside of a school setting please state this on your application. Many sports coaches, foster carers, & youth workers, tend to work really well in a Teaching Assistant role.

The pay for this role will be between £57-£65 a day (dependant on experience).
