Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Secondary School located on the outskirts of Wigan, in order to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This Teaching Assistant vacancy is for a full time position, starting after October half term. The school are looking for an introduction for a Teaching Assistant from Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity for a school based contract for the successful Teaching Assistant. The Good Wigan School is seeking a Teaching Assistant who will have a strong presence in the classroom, and will be able to build rapport with their pupils. The successful Teaching Assistant will be working closely with the school SENCO, who is highly experienced and supportive.

The secondary school is located on the Outskirts of Wigan, and is easily accessible by car, a 10 minute drive from the M6. The school is also easily accessible by public transport, with direct links from Wigan centre, as well as Manchester city centre. The Good Wigan School has a dedicated team of Teaching Assistant, who support pupils across the school, in a range of roles. In their most recent Ofsted inspection the school was graded Good in all areas, with the management of the school and pupil behaviour highlighted areas of particular strength. The catchment area of the school is rural area of Wigan, and the cohort of pupils is predominantly white British. The Wigan secondary school sets high standards for both their pupils and staff, encouraging all in the school environment to reach their full potential and strive for success. The successful Teaching Assistant will be able to meet the high standards of the school.
