Are you an experienced teaching assistant, recent Graduate or aspiring teacher wishing to gain a full time teaching assistant position ahead of the new academic year?

Do you have experience working with Children and Young people, either in a support or tutoring capacity?

If so, please see the details of the Teaching Assistant position available with our partner Secondary school in Oldham from September 2018.

  • Full time one year Teaching Assistant position, September 2018 start
  • Working alongside SENCO and class teachers to raise attainment and support learning
  • Delivering 1:1 support, and working within on-site Inclusion Unit
  • Gain invaluable experience prior to completing a teacher training programme
  • Earn up to £1200 per month, experience dependent*
  • Located towards the East of Oldham town centre

The Support department at our partner school are responsible for working with identified pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four both inside the classroom and within the on site Inclusion Unit.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to have knowledge of a range of additional learning needs including ADHD, ASC and Social, emotional and mental health needs. You will have the opportunity to work with students with varying needs, and will be provided with the support necessary to help these pupils meet targets and build confidence.

It is essential that you have previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 and are happy to complete additional CPD to upskill in target areas.

Our partner 11-16 mixed comprehensive Secondary school is located towards the East of Oldham, near to Uppermill, and can be accessed via the A670. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links from central Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale.
