Full time Teaching Assistant required on a temporary basis from January 2019 till the end of the academic year for a Bolton based Secondary school.

Due to a gap within the support department this outstanding Secondary school is seeking to appoint a hard working, resilient and passionate teaching assistant to work within their faculty working identified pupils on EHCP.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant required on a temporary basis from January 2019.
  • Must hold prior experience working with young people to be considered.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' Secondary school.
  • Access to CPD training programmes throughout the academic year.
  • Earn up to £1350 per month.

This well respected Secondary school in the Farnworth district of Bolton, bordering with neighbouring Bury has just under 500 pupils on roll aged 11- 16. The incoming Teaching Assistant can expect to work under the direction of the SENCO and SLT with full guidance and support provided.

The responsibilities for the incoming Teaching Assistant will include;

  • Working with pupils at all levels of learning to ensure pupils remain engaged through Dynamic teaching and learning.
  • General cover responsibilities may also apply with full support and guidance.
  • Promoting inclusive learning and upholding the school values and ethos.
  • Positively managing behaviour in class in accordance with school behaviour policies.
  • Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups and alongside the class teacher to work within your specialist area.

Located between Bury and Salford, this diverse Academy has just over 500 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. With a strong emphasis on the inclusive practice of outstanding teaching and learning, the progression of all their pupils is at the heart of their vision.
