Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a 'Good' graded High School that are currently in requirement of a number of Teaching Assistants that are able to join their support department. Currently there are both full time and part time opportunities available straight away following the Easter break.

The school seek to appoint a team of Teaching Assistants as a matter of urgency as they look to bolster their support team for the remainder of this academic year.

  • Teaching Assistants - full-time and part-time positions available
  • 'Good' High School located in Ashton-in-Makerfield
  • Opportunity to earn £1000-£1200 a month
  • Providing general classroom support to the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis

There are both full and part-time positions available for the Teaching Assistant positions available with the school open to Teaching Assistants working on a flexible basis this academic year.

  • To work under the supervision and guidance of the SENCO, class teacher and other professionals to support students with additional needs and those who are disadvantaged
  • To provide general support to subject teachers in the organisation, supervision and instruction of students with additional needs
  • To promote the inclusion of all students, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and to develop

You will have the opportunity to lead classes delivering pre planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will be fully supported by Senior Leaders and experienced teachers within school.

The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan bordering Salford which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Leigh and Chorley.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
