Our client secondary school have recently added an ASC provision to their school facilities in order to ensure support for identified pupils.

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant.
  • Required from January 2022 on a long-term basis.
  • Earn up to £1450 per month, depending on previous experience.
  • Secondary school in Salford.
  • Supporting students with Autism aged 11-16 across a range of lessons.
  • Any experience with supporting children with ASC previously is desirable.

The incoming teaching assistant will be working within a specialist ASC provision alongside supporting pupils within mainstream classrooms who are also on the autistic spectrum. You will be expected to assist the teacher in planning, managing and preparing resources and adjusting these to suit specific pupils’ needs.

To be considered for this role experience working within an educational setting with children and young people who have SEN or behavioural needs is desirable but all experience will be considered.

Located in the Salford area, the school can be accessed via the M66, M60 and A580. For non drivers, there is a number of public transportation links meaning the school can be accessed from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
