Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a Salford Secondary school in order to recruit a dynamic Teaching Assistant, full time from February 2019.

Due to an identified need for additional support for pupils on Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) this growing Secondary school wishes to appoint an encouraging, resilient and inspiring Teaching Assistant to work within their support provisions.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant required from February 2019 fixed term till the end of the academic year.
  • Must have previous experience working with young people within a support capacity, experience working with young people on EHCP's is highly desired.
  • Opportunity to work within a dynamic Salford Secondary school.
  • Earn up to £1300 per month dependant upon experience.

This Salford Secondary school has seen drastic positive changes across management, leadership and over all attitudes amongst staff, pupils and parents. With an influx of pupils requiring identified support our partner school is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work directly with a young pupil in year 8. The role itself will also include general Teaching Assistant responsibilities alongside 1:1 intervention.

The responsibilities for the incoming Teaching Assistant will include;

  • Work 1:1 with an identified year 8 pupil providing general support throughout the school day.
  • General teaching assistant responsibilities also apply; working alongside the class teacher across all subjects at Key Stages 3-4.
  • Promote a positive growth mind-set amongst all pupils in line with the school ethos and values.

Salford easily accessible via the M66/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. Public Transport options are also readily available for those who do not drive with links across Greater Manchester.
