A large Salford Secondary school is seeking to recruit a passionate, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for September 2019 to join their highly successful support department.

The school is on its way to 'Outstanding' and has been graded 'Good' by Ofsted in recent observations and has a growing reputation for delivering exceptional education for its community. Due to a restructure within the support team, there is now an exceptional opportunity to support and inspire pupils, develop their skills and quality of teaching and learning.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant required from September 2019.

  • Located in the heart of Salford, easily accessible via the M60/A580.
  • Previous experience working with young people within a support capacity is essential to be considered.
  • Earn up to £1200+ per month.

This modern build mixed comprehensive Secondary school is located in the Swinton constituency of Salford and has just over 600 pupils on roll aged 11-16. The support department boasts access to modern resources in state of the art facilities and intimate learning spaces.

As the successful Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

  • Work 1:1 with an identified year 8 pupil providing general support throughout the school day.
  • General teaching assistant responsibilities also apply; working alongside the class teacher across all subjects at Key Stages 3-4.
  • Promote a positive growth mind-set amongst all pupils in line with the school ethos and values.

Salford easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. Public Transport options are also readily available for those who do not drive with links across Greater Manchester.
