Teaching Assistant

Job description

A small SEN School located in Tameside are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is available to start immediately. The succesfully appointed Teaching Assistant will work 8.30am - 3.30pm (Monday - Friday). This position will be a term time only role so the succesfully appointed Teaching Assistant will be expected to work term time only. 

The School itself caters for pupils with a variety of needs including: Moderate to serve SEN, wheelchairs users and those who have significant interaction or communication difficulties. Due to the nature of the needs of the pupils it would be ideal for the Teaching Assistant to have experience working within a special school or simillar setting and applicants with personal experience will also be considered. 

 

Your duities as a Teaching Assistant will include: 

- Building positive relationships with pupils with SEN 

- Supporting classroom Teachers as and where directed

- Supporting Teachers in assessing pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
