Job description

Full time Teaching Assistant required for a Bury Secondary school starting immediately until the end of the academic year.

Due to a young pupil having been reintegrated back into mainstream education this Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school is seeking to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant on a full time basis. If you would like to be considered for this exiting opportunity then please see the details below;

  • Full time Teaching Assistant immediate start.
  • Initially for one term with the potential to progress into the new academic year.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Must have previous experience supporting young people to be considered.
  • Earn up to £75 per day.

This Bury based mixed school is renowned within the local community for its outstanding practice amongst, staff and Senior Leadership. With just over 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, the incoming teaching assistant can expect to join a supportive staff team.

The responsibilities for the successful Teaching Assistant will include;

  • Support on a 1:1 basis and small intervention based groups at the discretion of Senior Leadership Team.
  • General cover responsibilities may apply at the discretion of the school, with full support provided.
  • Promote a growth mind set and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Located in the Ramsbottom region of Bury and has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16. There are easy access options via the M60/M66 as well as the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale, and Preston.
