Teaching assistant job in Haringey

Teaching Personnel are working with a behaviour school in North London. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can help SEMH child focus on education and raise attainment.

The school provide CPD training such as de-escalation techniques and behaviour management training. Teaching Personnel also provide Team Teach training for a reduced price for registered candidates.

The school caters for SEMH pupils across all key stages. If you are passionate to support children with challenging behaviour from troubling backgrounds, this is the perfect role for you. The school support staffs with ambitions to become a teacher by allowing candidates to lesson plans and marking to give them an understanding of a teacher duties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with challenging pupils with behavioural difficulties -minimum 6 months
  • Able to deliver 1:1 support tailored to pupils behavioural needs
  • Team teach training will be an advantageous but not a requirement
  • There is opportunity of a permanent school contract
  • Full time Monday to Friday term time only - 8.30am -3.30pm (could extend to 4)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
