Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with an 'Good' secondary school seeking a graduate teaching assistant to support pupils with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

If you are interested in becoming a Teaching, this is the perfect role for you. Teaching Personnel can equip you with the right knowledge and training so you can effectively support the pupils. Teaching Personnel provide CPD courses at a reduced cost for registered candidates.

The school is based in Barnet and has high pass rates for GCSE's. The expectation of the teaching assistant is to effectively support the candidate in all classes so you can raise their attainment. The school also have a 16-19 study program where candidates go on to secure a place in Russell Group universities and Sutton Top 30 universities.

Requirements:

  • Degree (Masters would be advantageous)
  • Hold a Child Workforce only DBS on the update service (or happy to apply for one)
  • Available to work Monday to Friday during school hours
  • Experience working at a Secondary School
  • Understanding of how to support Autistic pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
