Job description

We are currently working with a Specialist School in Fulford, York who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work closely with Key Stage 1 and 2 students displaying challenging behaviour.   • Pupil Referral Units
  • Behaviour Management
  • Teaching/Learning support Assistance
  • Autism Awareness
  • The Military
  • Sports Coaching

As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to;

  • Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Ensure all pupils are supported and able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson
  • Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social)
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of activities
  • Manage challenging pupil behaviour
  • Coordinate specific areas of teaching support (dependent on experience)

Pay rates: £54-£65/day

Contract: Full-time, part-time, temporary and permanent positions

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
