Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Wimborne area to recruit an enthusiastic Afternoon Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.

Role Overview:

This is a part-time position (afternoons only) and would suit a caring and motivated individual with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development. You will primarily be working with Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, supporting small groups and occasionally providing 1:1 assistance, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality afternoon sessions.
• Working with pupils across a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
• Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in line with the school’s values.
• Liaising with teaching staff to ensure continuity of support.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience working with primary-aged children (in a school or similar setting).
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Shows initiative and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Is flexible, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in children’s education.
