Seeking a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant for a Year 5 Class in Lancaster!

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them thrive in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Year 5 class in a Lancaster primary school.

Start Date: After February half term

Location: Lancaster (LA1)

Position: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3)

Competitive Pay Rates: £12.90-£14 per hour (PAYE) 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Provide tailored assistance to pupils, including small group work and one-on-one support.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation and organization to ensure smooth daily operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils is desirable.
• A proactive, adaptable, and caring individual who works well as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service is required, or a willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
