Pay: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Start Date: January 2026 (subject to vetting)

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work full-time in Primary Schools across Cardiff.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of year groups, supporting both pupils and teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You’ll be joining a welcoming and supportive team of staff who are always eager to share feedback and help you develop professionally.

There’s also potential for long-term or permanent opportunities, with many roles extending for the whole academic year and into the new academic year (September 2026).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them to reach their full potential.

• Assist the class teacher with general classroom support, including preparation and behaviour management.

• Help ensure the classroom is organised, engaging, and ready for each lesson.

• Encourage pupil progress by fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

• Identify individual needs and provide tailored support when required.

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds — previous experience in education isn’t essential! Successful Teaching Assistants have joined us from areas such as:

• Personal experience with SEN / ALN

• Youth Work or Childcare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
