Teaching Assistant Role for SEN school in Bromley

A primary school in Bromley is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with ASD. The role involves 1:1 work with the pupils, therefore you must be experienced in providing tailored support, to encourage the children to develop academically and socially. Alongside excellent behaviour management skills, an encouraging, patient, and caring personality are a must. We welcome those experienced in providing alternative teaching methods, therefore backgrounds such as Sports (coaching), Psychology, Youth Work, Art and Design and Music are desirable.

Relevant training, such as Team Teach, First Aid, Health & Safety in Education, Mental Health & Wellbeing in Children and Young People, are all desirable but not essential. Teaching Personnel do encourage our teachers to complete training courses, therefore we do offer opportunities for courses either for free or at a highly subsidised rate. You will be required to have the following:

  • Immediate fulltime availability
  • DBS on the updated system

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
