We are currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to start work at an SEN school in Bovington on a full time basis. 

What you need to know about the school:

The school support young adults to help develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills. As a Support assistant you will support the school to develop students to cope better with the things that they find challenging, whether this is during their school day or at home.  The successful Teaching Assistant will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills.  The school are currently on the lookout for an additional Teaching Assistant to work through us initially with the likelihood of a permanent contract after a specific amount of time. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career or if you have a keen interest in special needs.

  • Working hours are 8:30 – 3:30
  • Earn around £1200+ per month

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of working with children of special educational needs and more specifically, we are specifically looking for support staff with a particular specialism such as ASD, Speech and Language, SLD and other Learning Disabilities. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed.

You need to be flexible, energetic, and resiliant. You will be working 1:1 with different students, some with lower functioning ASC needs and some with attachment needs so you will ideally have experience of working with children with profound and complex disabilities and/or autism.  However, training will be provided for the right candidate. This role could be suitable for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a career in teaching or learning support. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
