Part-Time SEN(D) Teaching Assistant

Location: Blandford Forum
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Start Date: Immediate

If you’re patient, resilient, and ready to make a real difference, this opportunity is for you! We’re seeking a dedicated SEN(D) Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Blandford Forum.


The Role:

As a part-time Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside classroom teachers and therapy professionals to provide exceptional support to pupils aged 7–19 years with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Complex learning difficulties
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Additional sensory and communication needs

This unique school also serves as a home for some students and offers incredible facilities such as music therapy, arts therapy, equine therapy, and more. You’ll collaborate with therapists, specialist teachers, and psychiatrists to create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.


Who We’re Looking For:

  • A patient, caring, and innovative individual
  • Experience with SEND and SEMH
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and EHCPs
  • Driving Licence required
