£70- £85 daily rate on PAYE scheme - Dependant on experience

We are currently seeking creative teaching assistants for an alternative provision in East London, hackney area. They are looking for confident teaching assistants to tutor pupils with Autism and behavioural needs and provide 1:1 sessions for Literacy and Numeracy subjects. The pupil's age range across KS3-KS4, however they are learning at KS1-KS2 level, the aim is to tailor sessions to pupils needs to allow pupils to work towards the appropriate key stage level. For a teaching assistant here you will need to be confident to deliver 1:1 support for SEN learners, devise tailored session plans that are interactive and engaging to spark learner's interest in their education. Previous experience working with autism or behavioural needs is essential as pupils that are in need of support require someone experienced ! There is an induction and comprehensive training programme provided. For the successful teaching assist there is the potential for a permanent contract following an extended probation period.

KS3/ KS4 SEN Teaching assistant:

  • Previous experience with SEN is essential
  • Must be passionate to work with SEN
  • Able to plan and deliver 1:1 sessions with SEN
  • Creative , confident personality
  • Need to have good written and communication skills
  • Extensive training and induction provided
  • Able to deliver sessions around Hackney area in pupil's homes, public spaces
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30 pm - Term time only
  • Potential for permanent contract for September 2019
