Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant for a Key Stages 3 and 4, the role will consist of working on a small group basis with young people with SEND of varying severity's. The successful candidate will be working in a small class of students with SEN, focusing upon personal development and assisting in classroom activities. You will be working closely with the class teacher and fellow teaching assistants to provide the best care and support for the children in the class, who have a variety of needs including:

  • Autism
  • Downs syndrome
  • Speech and language difficulties

The school has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED and has brilliant facilities to use with the children, including a sensory garden! You will be confident assisting with students learning across English, Maths and some Science as well as a large focus on personal skills and development. The role will commence as soon after the February half term until the end of the academic year, if the candidate is successful in the role it is likely that the position could go permanent however registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you with further work opportunities across many of our client schools.

You could be earning up to £65 per day in this role, and will have access to our unique CPD training courses, including an upcoming Team Teach course. You will be supported by a team of SEND specialist recruitment consultants who are best placed to support you throughout your role and place you onto any desired courses. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
