Teaching Assistant for SEND challenging behaviour

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEN provision in Newcastle to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis. There is strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate, you will be dedicated to providing outstanding support. The school has a strong focus on individual social, emotional and physical development; you will be working closely to assist students in reaching achievable goals and targets through planning activities according to the level the student is working at. The candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in lunchtime clubs and nurture/social skills clubs for the children.

This SEN provision caters for students with a number of social, emotional and mental health difficulties and you will be confident managing challenging behaviour within lessons. You will be working with students in a group, classroom capacity as well as working on a one to one basis with students who need further support. Teaching Personnel can offer Teaching Assistant's competitive pay rates of £270 - 350 per week! This role will commence in February on a full time basis through school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
