KS1 TA Required for a Primary School in Durham


  • A Good performing School based in Durham, 10 minutes from central Durham
  • Full time role supporting pupils in KS1 with their Phonics and Reading
  • Immediate start date

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a caring, child centred individual with a passion to make a difference to the learning of young children. One of our client schools based in the rural area of Durham are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to work with groups of pupils within KS1 to assist with Phonics and Reading. The role will start as soon as possible, till June 2019.

The candidate we are looking for must be flexible, experienced in working with children from 0-5 and are either level 2 or level 3 qualified. You must have experience with Letters and Sounds Phonics and be confident with the KS1 curriculum and also have a nurturing, child-centred approach.

In order to be considered for this position:

  • Hold TA Qualification or be working towards one
  • Experience working in a Primary School or Nursery
  • Available for full time work Immediately
  • Knowledge of Phonics
