Teaching Assistant for friendly School in Newham
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
An award-winning four-form entry Primary in Newham is looking for up to three new teaching assistants to join their school in September on a long-term contract. The school is a National Leader in Education and Specialist Support School and has been rated Ofsted 'Outstanding' at its last two inspections.
This is an exciting role for someone interested in being a role model for young people. Whilst experience providing support across EYFS and KS1 would be desirable, the school is happy to take on candidates with little experience as long as they have the right attitude.
It has been identified that candidates coming from a sports background, including coaching and high level performance, have excelled in this particular school and so candidates with this background will be favoured. You must be confident mentoring young people and an interest in going into teaching would be a bonus as the school is a Schools Direct training partner.
You will be expected to:
* Support children within class and in small groups
* Work as part of a team with the other Teaching Assistants in the school
* Have good literacy and numeracy skills
* Demonstrate commitment to your own continuous professional development
In return the school offers:
* A friendly and welcoming environment (including a school dog!)
* The opportunity to work within an 'Outstanding' Academy
* A vibrant diverse demographic of students and staff
* Excellent support to further your own learning and development
The school is hoping to interview as soon as possible so if you think this could be the ideal role for you please submit your CV below. If shortlisted, please expect to be contacted within four working days.
