Teaching Assistant for Autism - SEND School

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a SEND provision in Northallerton who are seeking a teaching assistant to work with students with Autism on a full time basis, commencing ASAP until the end of the academic year.

The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils aged 11-16 who have Autism of varying severity's, the students are in need of extra support and guidance within their classroom environments. The main aspect of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time. You will be dedicated to providing outstanding support!

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with Autism; however the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth/social work, counselling and graduates. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people and have a strong desire to work with SEND.

Teaching Personnel can offer teaching assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per week, 5 days a week within this client school. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
