Teaching Personnel are currently supporting Teaching Assistants and aspiring teachers gain experience in the Salford LEA on a regular, flexible basis.

  • Full time and part time opportunities available
  • Gain an introduction to Primary and Secondary schools in the Salford Alternative Provision
  • Work around your availability/studies
  • Earn up to £300 per week
  • Obtain invaluable experience prior to completing PGCE/teacher training

*Some previous experience working with children and young people is essential to be considered for this position*

Teaching Personnel work with in partnership with Primary and Secondary Schools across the Salford LEA, whereby requirements for Teaching Assistants range from day to day and short term needs, to full time fixed term Teaching Assistant positions. If you are wishing to gain an insight into a number of Secondary schools and build experience prior to completing a teacher training course or furthering studies, this position is perfect for you.

Role and Responsibilities;

  • Supporting students in class, under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Working with pupils outside of the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Recording and reporting behaviour and implementing classroom behaviour policies
  • Tracking progress and feeding back to Senior Leaders (SENCO)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
