Have you got experiences as a Learning Support Assistant? Are you currently looking for full-time/part-time work within the schooling environment in the Balham area? LOOK NO FURTHER!

Teaching personnel currently have a wide range of roles available for a Learning Support Assistant. Within this role you will be working directly with teachers within the classroom assisting student with their day to day tasks as well as work with the children to attempt to develop them through their schooling. The school is a Catholic faith school but you do not have to be catholic to work there though.

Regarding this role the individual applying will be able to gain hands on experience in a LSA role which can be critical to kick-starting careers as well and develop current skills or developing new skills.

Our roles available require:

  • preparing the classroom ready for lessons
  • supporting pupils with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • working one to one or with small groups
  • listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
  • helping pupils in practical lessons
  • creating displays of pupils' work
  • helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
  • supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
  • supervising group activities and contributing to observations
  • other relevant day to day tasks

Minimum Requirements

- Previous experience working in a similar School setting, or evidence of strong Behaviour Management is desirable

- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve

- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support

An Enhanced Childforce Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel
