Teaching Assistant: Central Manchester

Are you a youth or residential support worker looking for a new challenge?

Do you have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour?

Would you like to support primary aged pupils in a unique learning environment?

I am looking for an exceptional learning support assistant to support a small class of pupils with behavioural needs at a school in Central Manchester.

This school supports pupils aged 11-14 with a Statement of Special Educational Needs, whose mainstream schooling has broken down for a variety of reasons.

They are committed to creating a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their potential through the promotion of respect, responsibility, independence and creativity in order to build confidence. Their primary focus is helping to prepare pupils for their future life in wider society.

The ideal candidate would have experience in one or more of the following areas.

  • Youth Work
  • Residential Support
  • Previous support experience in a school environment
  • Sports coaching

Team teach training is desirable also.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
