Job description

Full time Teaching Assistant required for a Bury RC Secondary school from Easter 2019 for a fixed long term contract until the end of the academic year.

If you have prior experience working with young people and wish to pursue a career within the Education sector then this Teaching Assistant role may be ideal for you.

  • Must hold a minimum of a degree level qualification alongside prior experience supporting young people to be considered for this Teaching Assistant position.

As the incoming Teaching Assistant, you will be joining a strong support team, priding themselves in the progression of pupils at all levels of learning, across the school as a whole.

  • Work within the classroom to support the class teacher with pupils, across the curriculum.
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in smaller intervention groups.
  • Confidence to deliver pre-planned lessons with full support where required.
  • Flexibility to support across the curriculum is essential due to the nature of this position.
  • Strong behaviour management skills will be highly advantageous.
