Job description

A Specialist Unit situated in the Oldham area are currently looking to appoint a BSL Teaching Assistant to start immediately after October half term.

The Provision itself caters for pupils with mild and severe hearing impairments. The Setting are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who is trained in BSL (ideally level 3) who can support pupils with hearing impairments in reaching their full potential.

Ideally the Teaching Assistant will have:

-          BSL level 2 qualified (essential)

-          Ideally Team-Teach trained (teaching personnel provide training)

-          Have an in-depth knowledge understanding of safeguarding procedures

-          Experience working with pupils with hearing impairments

-          A knowledge of safeguarding procedures
