Due to high demand and our increasing popularity within SEN schools in the Lancashire area, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in our client schools.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a Burnley-based Special Educational Needs school who are seeking to appoint teaching assistances with an in-depth knowledge of and experience in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs. The school caters for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and this role requires a teaching assistant to work with pupils with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and Autism.

We are ideally looking for an individual with:

  • Knowledge of Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Experience in PEC's, Makaton and British Sign Language (not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Youth work / Care
  • A calm, empathetic and patient manner / approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
