Teaching Assistant (Behaviour support) role

Job description

A Primary school in Gillingham (Dorset) are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a male pupil in Y3 who has behaviour and attendance issues.

The school are looking for the role to start as soon as possible and someone who has had previous experience working with challenging behaviour/ additional learning needs.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be confident handling challenging behaviour - firm but fair
  • Record and assess the pupils progress and behaviour to report back to the teacher and parents.
  • Take part in/ support any school events or trips.
  • Keep up to date with the national curriculum.
  • Ensure the pupil is fully supported throughout the day.

Salary:

  • £9-£10 per hour.
