Teaching Assistant/ Behaviour Support Mentor

TA with SEMH experience - READING

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for candidates for one of our schools that are based in Reading, we are looking for someone who has experience in SEMH but is not an essential. This school thrives on supporting their Teachers and providing a quality relationship with the children that attend.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.

Minimal Requirements:

  • A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
  • Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • A child workforce DBS on the update service, or one completed through Teaching Personnel
  • Ability to recognise and manage challenging behaviour
  • Supportive and patient character
