Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary school in Poole who are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with behaviour needs. The school are a supportive and friendly network with excellent facilities.

  • Full Time Role - Mon-Fri, 8.30-4.00
  • Immediate start
  • £8.41 per hour

The children display challenging behaviour and require 1-1 support both inside and out of the classroom.

Your daily duties will include;

* Providing 1:1 support for the children

* Helping the children to socially interact with other children

* Use your initiative to differentiate activities to support children's needs

* Work closely with the class teacher to give the children the best support

* Follow EHC plans and reward systems for the children

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need to;

* Have previous experience working within a school

* Be able to communicate effectively with different members of staff and parents

* Have knowledge of the National Curriculum

* Have a friendly caring personality

* Preferably an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Classroom
