Teaching Personnel are working with a Speialist Primary school in Poole who cater for pupils who have been excluded from mainsream schools. The school are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1. The school are a supportive and friendly network with excellent facilities.

  • Full Time Role - Mon-Fri, 8.30-4.30
  • Immediate Start (where possible)

The children display challenging behaviour and can be unpredictable.

The successful TAs daily duties will include;

* Providing support for the children in the class

* Use your initiative to differentiate activities to support the childrens individual needs

* Work closely with the class teacher

* Follow an EHC plan and reward system for the children

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need to;

* Have previous experience working within a school setting

* Be able to communicate effectively with different members of staff and parents

* Have knowledge of the National Curriculum

* Have a friendly caring personality

* Preferably an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Classroom

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
