Behaviour Support Assistant

A South Manchester school require a behaviour support assistant for a Year 10 male student able to provide 1:1 support. The school have a ‘warm-strict’ approach instilling strong learning habits ultimately helping students become better qualified, more successful and happier. They expect students to follow homework and equipment rules, wear uniform with pride and always be ‘on task’, fully engaged and ready to learn.

The job will involve:

• Providing focused support to the Year 10 male
• Ensuring the student is making progress to the best of their ability
• Continuous communication with the school’s SENCO Coordinator
• Managing the needs and extra requirements of the student
• Building a positive relationship between yourself and the student

While this role may seem challenging, a successful applicant would no doubt find it extremely rewarding. Being solely responsible for their progress and becoming the positive role model they crave. It requires applicants to be very confident and able to deal with difficult scenarios and so ideal applicants would include:

• Any military background
• Sports coaching
• Graduates with SEN Qualifications/experience

There is a tram stop directly outside linking the school to the entire Manchester area and Manchester Airport only a few tram stops away connecting to multiple train stations 5 min from M60. This makes it perfect whether you drive or use public transport.

This position runs from February 2023 until the end of the academic year, as this student will be entering Year 11 next year there is a real potential for this position to become permanent. Pay spans from £350-£400 a week based on your prior experience.
