Secondary PRU Teacher – Mountain Ash

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Secondary PRU Teacher (Pupil Referral Unit) on behalf of one of our partnership schools. The school are actively looking for an experienced, versatile PRU Teacher who has the ability to teach Secondary level to join their team ready for an ASAP start. The position is ongoing on a long-term basis and due to the immediate start date interviews are being held online over the next 2 weeks.

Requirements of a Secondary PRU Teacher:

  • Enhanced DBS available on the Update Service
  • Valid registration with the EWC
  • Experience within a challenging behavioural or PRU environment
  • QTS in Primary, Secondary or FE candidates considered
  • A patient, confident and versatile personality passionate towards helping the students

The students within the unit of the school may be diagnosed with Autism or other co-existing conditions such as ADHD, Anxiety, Tourette’s Syndrome, Epilepsy, other learning difficulties or challenging behaviour. The students are of a secondary school age which is 11-16.

Ideally the successful applicant will be a knowledgeable & well-rounded teacher with a good confidence in teaching at a secondary level. The work will be set in small numbers per class with on-hand support available within the unit at all times. This position is available full-time with the school looking to start someone as soon as possible.
