Teacher of Special Needs - Slough

Job description

A Special Needs Primary School in the Slough area is looking for a full time SEN Teacher. The successful candidate will work on Long Term Supply basis and then if all goes well will be come a permanent member of staff at the school.

Role

The role will be to work with KS1 and/or KS2 pupils. The class is made up of boys and girls with Autism and Mental Health Needs. Class sizes are relatively small (6-8) and the role entails supporting pupils with basic literacy and numeracy as well as social skills. You will be working alongside numerous other teaching assistants and LSA's.

You

The Headteacher is looking for an experienced Teacher, someone with at least's one year's experience full time or part time either with SEN pupil or in a mainstream school.

  • Keen to support pupils academically
  • UK QTS
  • Experience with pupils with SEN - namely Autism and Mental Health Needs
  • Active person who is willing to take a calm approach of learning and teaching
