The Headteacher within a growing Salford based Secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging qualified Teacher of Science on a full time basis from September 2019. The successful practitioner will be an outstanding Teacher of Science with a commitment and passion for the subject as well as learning and leadership.

The school boast newly refurbished Science laboratories and classrooms well equipped with contemporary resources including; practical equipment, interactive Smart Boards and IPads. The department consists of three Science teachers and a Head of Science/ Assistant Head. As the incoming Science Teacher you can expect to join a well resourced department with friendly and supportive colleagues happy to go the extra mile.

The responsibilities for the incoming practitioner will include but may not be limited to;

  • Expected to lead a full time table delivering inventive Science lessons; planning, preparing and evaluating all class work.
  • Effectively teach the National curriculum within the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Located in the Worsley region of Salford, this growing Secondary school has just over 600 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. Salford can be accessed via the M602/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Manchester. There are also various public transport options available with links throughout Greater Manchester.
