Reports to: Head of Science Department.

Teacher of Physics Requirements:

Education and experience for Teacher of Physics:

• Qualified Teacher Status alongside a degree level qualification in Physics or a relevant Science.
• Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science - Physics specialism.
• Commit to inclusive education and equal opportunities.

With a gap in the Science department, the incoming Teacher of Physics can expect to join a Science department whereby students consistently achieve results above the national average across all Key Stages. Main Duties and Responsibilities for Teacher of Physics:

• Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding lessons across Key Stage 3-4; provide students with the opportunity to achieve their potential.
• Maintain effective behaviour management in the classroom using positive behaviour management strategies to ensure pupils are engaged.

• Monitor, assess and evaluate pupil achievement taking appropriate action.
