Teacher of Physical Education required in Derby

The role:

My client school is seeking an experienced or newly qualified teacher of Physical Education for an academy in Derby for a minimum period opf 6 weeks (from the W/C Monday 25th February - Friday 12th April).

Our client is keen to consider teachers with a genuine and passionate attitude toward their students and toward raising attainment within the P.E department.

Reporting to the Head of P.E, you will be responsible for the successful completion of competent lessons, teaching students across KS3 and KS4.


Applicants will need to have qualified teacher status in the UK, or an equivalent teaching qualification from overseas. They will need to effectively deliver the national curriculum with energy and enthusiasm. In addition applicants should possess:

  • Good classroom management skills
  • Experience of teaching in UK schools / Or if newly qualified have a real passion to excel
  • Ability to plan and carry out effective lesson plans
  • Commitment to raising standards of learning and a passion for teaching P.E across a wide ability range
  • High level of self motivation
