Located in the Worsley region of Salford, this large oversubscribed Secondary school is a beacon within the local community. It is a school with a strong pupil centred ethos, family values and clear progressive vision.

The Head Teacher and school governors are seeking a passionate Teacher of Physical Education (PE) due to an expansion within the department, on a full time basis, from September 2019 or earlier to complete a transfer. The school have a diverse curriculum and PE is a popular subject, enjoyed by pupils across Key Stages 3 & 4.   • Full time Teacher of PE required from September 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant qualifications with Physical Education.
  • Opportunity to work within a dynamic Salford based Secondary school accessible via the A580/M60.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 20 - £39, 406.

The school has recently been extended to add additional classrooms and learning spaces throughout the school and the PE department has newly refurbished open learning spaces for interactive activities to take place. The incoming Teacher of PE will be expected to demonstrate examples of good and outstanding practice, and will have the responsibility of following and implementing the school ethos and values throughout the position.

With over 800 pupils enrolled aged 11-16 at the school at present, the school is larger than average - however class sizes have been reduced to create a more pupil-centred learning experience that caters for all abilities in. For non-drivers, there are public transportation links that lead directly to the school, along with a train station nearby. Neighbouring areas Wigan, Old Trafford and Bolton have a number of public transportation links to the school.
