Full time Teacher of PE required for a Bury Secondary school from Easter 2019 for a longer term position within the PE department.

Due to a restructure within the staff team this over subscribed Bury Secondary school is seeking to recruit a dynamic Teacher of PE for a gap within their department. If you would like to be considered for this exciting opportunity then please see the details below.

  • Full time Teacher of PE required from Easter 2019.
  • Must hold QTS to be considered for this Teacher of PE position.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply as relevant support will be provided.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

This distinguished Secondary school based in the heart of Bury has a long-established presence within the community for the promotion of outstanding practice. The incoming Teacher of PE can expect to join a subject which is popular amongst pupils across the school board.

The responsibilities for the successful Teacher of PE will include but may not be limited to;

  • Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside through the planning, preparing and marking of the Curriculum.
  • Deliver dynamic PE lessons sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

The school can easily be accessed via the M60 and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale and Salford. There are also numerous public transport links within close proximity to the school for those who do not drive.
