Teacher of PE || Folkestone, Kent

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teacher of PE to join a very well established Academy in Folkestone. The successful applicant will be able to lead, inspire, encourage and deliver lessons to Key stage 3 & 4 students in a variety of sports in accordance with National Curriculum requirements. This exciting post is suitable for NQTs along with more experienced teachers looking to join a very successful department.

As a Teacher of PE, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and focusing on specific sports and building progression into practical drills.
• Understanding a variety of sports and being able to accurately relay, knowledge, skills and rules.
• Consistently providing support and encouragement to aid student's progression and motivate individuals.
• Working within small to large groups and being a leader to students.
• Differentiating your approaching to suit individuals learning requirements.
• Having a flexible work approach to suit the School's needs and curriculum requirement.

You will need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree or PE related degree with experience of teaching a sports related subject.
• Experience or knowledge teaching Physical Education
• Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum within the past two years is crucial
• NQTs and/or overseas trained teachers welcome to apply
• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS on the update service/be prepared to apply for a new DBS check.
