Full time Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - French/ Spanish required for a Bury Secondary School ahead of September 2018.

Due to an increased demand for French and Spanish, our client Secondary school are now seeking to appoint a passionate Teacher of MFL who can teach French and or Spanish, as it is enjoyed amongst all pupils across the board.

  • Full time Teacher of MFL - French/ Spanish, Bury September 2018.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Suitable qualification for the subject required - French and or Spanish.
  • Evidence of successful teaching which is consistently good or better.
  • Both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful Teacher of MFL will work alongside the experienced Senior MFL Directors and the friendly, committed, enthusiastic team of linguists in the MFL faculty, to engage pupils, raise aspirations and motivate them to reach their full potential. The MFL faculty, at this larger than average Secondary school, has comprehensive enrichment programs, with annual visits to France, and Spain.

Teacher of MFL - French/ Spanish responsibilities will include;

  • Plan, prepare and evaluate classwork, ensuring all relevant actions are taken to ensure pupil attainment is at the fore front.
  • Develop and incorporate pedagogies relevant to the curriculum to inspire all pupils.
  • Use relevant classroom management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place across the school.
  • Work in accordance with current health and safety requirements: Governing Bodies, DFE, and Government policies.

This Bury based Secondary school with just over 850 pupils on roll; aged 11-16 is located on the outskirts of Bury town centre. It is easily accessible via the M66 and has a range of public transport options available with links throughout Greater Manchester.
