Job description

Teacher of Maths required for a Salford based Roman Catholic Secondary school on a full time basis from January 2019 until the end of the academic year (August 2019).

Our client RC Secondary school are seeking to appoint an ambitious Teacher of Maths to join their Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' school from January 2019 (or sooner if possible). Due to an unforeseen restructure within the Maths department, the incoming Teacher of Maths will be covering the absence throughout the academic year.

  • Full-time Teacher of Maths, required from January 2019 (or sooner) until the end of the academic year.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Mathematics.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction and or support will be provided.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406 per annum.

The incoming Teacher of Maths will be required to;

  • Deliver dynamic pupil centred lessons thorough the creation of comprehensive lesson plans incorporating various methods of teaching to ensure pupils are actively engaged and understand the materials.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and colleagues to integrate new activities and allocate effectively the available resources to ensure pupil progression.
  • Promote the school Roman Catholic and Ethos in line with policies and expectancies.

This RC Secondary school has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16 and is easily accessible via the M66/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas Bolton, Bury and Trafford. There are also various public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
