Large Salford Secondary school is seeking a full time Teacher of Maths initially for one term, from September 2019.

Our well respected client school is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel for a dynamic Teacher of Maths, with the creativity, subject knowledge and enthusiasm to motivate their pupils initially for one term and potentially longer due to covering an operation leave for a permanent member of staff. This rapidly improving Secondary school has a growing reputation in the area, insisting on the highest standards at all times.

  • Full time Teacher of Maths, one term initially - commencing from September 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level/equivalent qualifications within Maths.
  • Located at the heart of Salford, easily accessible via the M60/A580.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

The successful Teacher of Maths will be working under the careful guidance of the Senior Leadership Team, working towards raising pupil attainment across the board at all levels of learning. Having seen a complete restructure across the staff team there is now 4 members of teaching staff including the Head and Acting Head of Maths taking on full teaching timetables. The department has seen drastic positive improvement this academic year with grades in line with national averages in terms of pupil achievement.

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding teaching and learning and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within the maths faculty for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment bets suited to each individual pupil.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

The school is heavily over subscribed and boasts just over 1000 pupils on roll aged 11-16. Salford can easily be accessed via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road). There is also numerous public transport links readily available from the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan.
