A vibrant Salford based Secondary school is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, skilled and passionate Teacher of Maths from September 2019, fixed term for one year on a full-time basis.

  • Full-time Teacher of Maths required fixed term for one year from September 2019.

As the incoming Teacher of Maths, you will be joining a highly successful department which has consistently achieved above the national average in terms of achievement. The Maths department is well resourced with newly refurbished classrooms, which boast access to state of the art smart boards, equipment and open learning spaces for collaborative teaching.

As the successful Teacher of Maths your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

  • Ensure all individual lessons are planned and prepared adequately including the appropriate use of relevant resources.
  • Adopt a forward-thinking approach and plan lessons in line with schemes of work well in advance, in accordance with the national curriculum and departmental/school policies
  • Regularly set and mark appropriate work for pupils in order to assess their progression and understanding.

Currently, there are just over 800 pupils enrolled, aged 11-16 and is based in the heart of Salford town center. Salford can easily be accessed via the M602/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, and Trafford. There are also various public transport options readily available with links throughout Greater Manchester.
