The Headteacher at a large Bury Secondary School is seeking a dynamic Teacher of Humanities to join their welcoming staff team full time basis from January 2020 or earlier.

Due to a restructure within the Humanities department this welcoming school is seeking an enthusiastic practitioner, with the passion, subject knowledge and innovation required to join a highly successful staff team. Applications for this exciting Teacher of Humanities post is welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified teachers from all disciplines (Geography, History and Religious Education).

  • Full time Teacher of Humanities required from, January 2020 or earlier.
  • Must hold QTS alongside a degree level qualification within relevant discipline.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £24, 373 - £40, 490.

As the successful teacher of Humanities your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

  • Plan, prepare and mark classwork, reporting back to Senior Leadership within the faculty and taking appropriate action for assessment and evaluation where applicable.
  • Deliver dynamic History lessons ranging to meet the needs of pupils at a range of learning abilities and ages.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to behaviour management policies, aimed at the engagement of pupils across the board.
  • Uphold school ethos and values.

This well respected Secondary school just over 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. The school has consistently received positive Ofsted grading's and continues to move forward under the guidance of its Senior Leadership Team.

Bury is easily accessible via the M66 motorway and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Preston and Rochdale. There is also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
